xKevin Wozniak is Executive Director of the Georgia Tech Research Corporation (GTRC) Office of Industry Engagement, where he oversees collaborations with the business community through industry-supported sponsored research and technology licensing. Kevin previously served as the director of the Office of Technology Licensing at both Georgia Tech and Georgia State University and as an assistant director at the University of Georgia. He holds a BA in economics from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the University of Georgia. In addition to university technology transfer experience, Kevin has a background in developing new technologies and manufacturing processes for the automotive industry. He has been an active speaker at various commercialization and research administration forums and currently serves on the Association of University Technology Managers® (AUTM) and Council on Government Relations boards. He received the Bayh-Dole Fellowship in Public Policy from AUTM in 2006.

xTerry Stout is Director of Collaboration and Affiliated Licenses for the Georgia Tech Research Corporation Office of Industry Engagement. Terry brings more than 20 years of university research administration to his position, with experience negotiating research contracts as well as license agreements within a wide variety of technology and health sciences fields. Terry began his career in the private sector, working with companies such as General Foods and Scientific Atlanta, handling contract negotiations and credit analyses. His expertise in contracts expanded during his time at Emory University, where he negotiated research contracts and clinical trial agreements with industry partners. Later Terry applied his licensing and industry experience at Georgia Tech, where he focused on technology licensing and industry contracts, and then at Wake Forest University Health Sciences, where he directed the Industry Relations Office. Since returning to Georgia Tech in 2005, Terry has focused on negotiating both collaborative research and license agreements, protecting intellectual property, and helping faculty members create startup companies. Terry holds a BA in finance from Mercer University and an MBA from Reinhardt University. He has presented at the annual meeting of the Association of University Technology Managers® (AUTM), and is actively involved in the University-Industry Demonstration Partnership (UIDP), National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA), and the Society of Research Administrators.

xMarie-Christine P. Reames is Director of International Contracts and Technology Transfer at the Georgia Tech Research Corporation Office of Industry Engagement. She brings 13 years experience in technology licensing and industry contracting to the university, where she currently oversees all research collaborations with international sponsors. Her role includes managing intellectual property and negotiating research and license agreements at Georgia Tech. She helps university innovators create startup companies, as well. Marie-Christine’s responsibilities extend to the university’s international campuses, where she oversees sponsored research administration, technology transfer, and commercialization activities. Before joining Georgia Tech in 2004, Marie-Christine was assistant director of Life Sciences in the Office of Technology Development at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-CH). She managed all aspects of technology licensing, working primarily with the university’s medical school. Marie-Christine earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Virginia, where she concentrated on biology and French. She holds a master’s degree in microbiology and immunology from the UNC-CH. She speaks fluent French and has spent significant time abroad. Marie-Christine has served on multiple committees for the Association of University Technology Managers® (AUTM).

xLauren MacLanahan is Director of Innovation Commercialization for the Georgia Tech Research Corporation Office of Industry Engagement. In her current role, Lauren negotiates license, material transfer, and research agreements, and she assists faculty in creating startup companies. Lauren came to Georgia Tech in 2005, bringing with her an extensive and diverse background in law, science, and technology. She leverages this experience to support the Office of Industry Engagement’s mission to ensure that Georgia Tech innovations evolve into products that serve the public interest. She holds a JD from the William & Mary Law School and practiced at major firms in Atlanta and Chicago. While there, she focused on intellectual property (IP) and license agreements for the pharmaceutical industry. She also drafted and prosecuted related patent applications. In addition, Lauren has represented clients in IP and contract litigation in numerous technical fields, including computer science and chemistry. She brings a strong science background to her role at the university, with a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Tennessee and a master’s in chemistry from Georgia Tech.
